Leveraging our global experience and multicultural sensitivity, our broad base of work experience range across various fields including programming, structural, civil, chemical, mechanical and manufacturing, electrical and electronics, aerospace and aviation. We are young, dynamic, in-touch with the generation and the current grasp of contemporary teaching practices and curriculum; and with our fingers on the pulse of the latest educational methods, we deliver imparting knowledge in the quickest and most efficient manner possible!

We are resourceful, patient, and well equipped to cater to a variety of different learning styles. Our tutors have a broad knowledge base across a wide spectrum of engineering and mathematical disciplines. Because we have already learnt these subjects and have hands-on experience using these techniques in the field, we are able to communicate concepts and theories in a succinct and applicable manner.

Our Services

We offer peer-to-peer tutoring, both online and in person. We focus mainly in Maths, Commerce, Science, Technology and Engineering subjects. We can work with any type of problem, including tutorial questions, assignments, or exam preparations. At Tutor Lim, we pride ourselves on being elites at problem solving. We can handle any type of project or assignment related to engineering. We can guide your through your calculations, report proof reading services, and provide creative design solutions.

The Founder

Tutor Lim was founded in 2010 by L.G. Lim, also known to his students as Lian.

Since 2009, Lian started private tutoring in helping VCE students with their math and physics problems. In the following year, he ventured into teaching university subjects included engineering mathematics, mechanics and electrical units. His interests for education extended with his voluntary work as a seasonal primary school teacher. Modifying his teaching strategies, Lian started to recognise the different learning styles of each individual tailoring his lessons accordingly to communicate with each student more effectively.

After graduating with a Mechanical Engineering degree in 2013 from Monash University (Melbourne, Australia), Lian worked as an engineer in research and development, design, manufacturing, as well as project management. Leveraging this extensive knowledge from working within engineering industry, Lian is dedicated to further his tutoring journey by continuing to share methods of teaching that work effectively for both tutors and students.
