My full name is Lian Geng, Lim. I was born and raised in Malaysia with the ability to speak fluent Mandarin, English and Bahasa Malay. In 2012, I graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering with Honours, specialising in Mechanical Engineering.
My passion for teaching started when I was studying my engineering degree at Monash University. During my academic career in 2010, I started tutoring VCE Mathematics and Physics students, who came to me for support in the lead up to their exams. My areas of focus included Algebra, Rates of change and Calculus, Functions and Graphs, and Probability. The following year, I began to teach Engineering subjects at university level, started with Year One Engineering Mathematics, Structures and Electrical units to Year Two Maths, Mechanics, Fluids and Thermodynamics. I have developed my tutoring skills over the past 6 years, and am confident in tutoring any engineering related subjects such as Linear Programming, one of my current subjects at Masters University level.
